COX 1/24 AMT 1/25 VINTAGE 1966 FORD MUSTANG SLOT CAR CONVERSION FOR RESTORATION

INTRO: Hello. Up for your consideration is this COX/AMT FORD MUSTANG SLOT CAR CONVERSION PROJECT. It is being listed “AS IS” in played with condition.
PHOTOS: The first photo shows all that is included. Other photos are close-up/different angle shots.
CONDITION: This is a really cool project. It is an original AMT 1/25 annual 1966 mustang model kit body mounted to a 1/24 Cox magnesium chassis. The rear plate is dated 1966. The body has seen a lot of track time. There is excess glue used to hold in the front mounting post and window glass on the under body. This glue caused melt on the hood and trunk. A screw was installed just below the rear window glass to hold another brass mount in place. The screw cracked the rear window. The custom front body post is broken and needs repaired/replaced. The body is painted and has decals installed. The damage to the body gives the project an old stock car feel. The chassis has some oxidation, typical of magnesium. It can be cleaned up. The motor has been bench tested ONLY! It has NOT been run on a track. It runs strong. The wheels/tires are custom. They are NOT Cox brand. The tires and brushes need replaced as they are old/worn out. Over-all this would make a great restoration project. Thanks for viewing our listing(s).
NOTE: As with all the slot cars we sell keep in mind older slot cars will need typical maintenance which may included cleaning, new tires/braids, oiling the motors/gears and repairs to damaged parts. Some cars we sell may have custom parts installed or upgrades. Some installed parts may be from other slot cars.
